Zach Hyman owes his successful ice hockey career to his parents, who have continuously supported him since childhood.
His father, a hockey lover, once was the head of dozens of minor hockey teams in the Greater Toronto Hockey League.
Zach idolized NHL legend Gordie Howe growing up and played the sport with his four younger brothers.

NHL Career
Florida Panthers drafted Zach Hyman as the 123rd overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry draft.
Following the draft selection by the Panthers, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs on June 19, 2015.
The Canadian-born made his NHL debut against the Tampa Bay Lightning on February 29, 2016.
Zach then scored his first professional goal just one week later against Buffalo Sabres.
He played a total of 345 games in six seasons for the Toronto Maple Leafs, scoring 86 goals and recording 99 assists.
For the Edmonton Oilers, he has played in 155 games, scored 63 goals, and made 74 assists as of this writing.
Contracts
After the trade to the Maple Leafs, he agreed to a two-year contract worth $1.8 million on June 24, 2015.
